From Optometry to Coaching & Leadership

Dr. Obinna Edwin Awiaka is a multiple award-winning Doctor of Optometry with over 20 years of industry experience and the Founder of Eyemasters Ltd — one of Nigeria's leading optometric practices. He currently serves as the Registrar/CEO of the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN).

A man of deep purpose, Dr. Awiaka extended his impact beyond clinical care by training as an ICF Professional Certified Coach at the Lanre Olusola Coaching Academy — earning the distinction of 'Dream Coach'. He has served as the Clinical Director of Special Olympics Nigeria for two decades and founded the ISee Foundation to provide free treatment to thousands of vulnerable women and children.

An internationally recognised leader, Dr. Awiaka is the immediate past President of the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA), a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), and was inducted into the Kwame Nkrumah Grow Africa Hall of Fame in 2023.
